Default Passenger brake light not lighting up/ failed inspection

Failed inspection today, told me my passenger brake light bulb is out, I went home and changed the bulb and the new bulb did the same thing it's lit up but WILL NOT get brighter when the brakes applied, I checked all the connectors and they look great with no visable corrosion, I'm stumped, all the other brake lights light up, i do have the 01+ tails and the harness mod done to them, but I bought them like that and have had zero problems, I didn't even know my taillight bulb was out until today, anyone have any ideas?

Thank u

Wow, Id say take a test light and have a mate press the breaks and see if your test light gets brighter?

did you place them correctly?

because though the bulbs are twin filament, placing them in the wrong socket in the lamp will give you that problem.

try removing the harness from the housing and pressing the brake to see if the bulb actually lights up both.

What an idiot I should know better, I changed my bulbs 4 months ago and never got pulled over! Unbelievable!!!! Thank u so much man!! I appreciate it!!!! I was going nuts and couldn't understand why he said it was out, no one ever told me, I'm always by myself, thank u so much for the reply...
