Quick wiper arm question.
Greetings,
I installed a new passenger side wiper arm for my 2002 GS300.
Installed it but now the hump in the middle of the blade hits the hood. The driver arm is in recessed summer position.
I bought the arm from the Lexus dealer so I'm pretty sure it's the correct part. Does switching modes on the wipers raise the height of the arm?
I'm thinking somehow the arm I replaced is in winter mode while the drivers side is in summer mode? Is this even possible?
Are their any other tricks or secrets to installing the wiper arms? It seemed pretty straightforward when I did it.
Honestly I'm not sure if this was an issue when I first installed the arm because I think I just tested the wipers with the hood open when I did the install to ensure they were aligned then shut them off and closed the hood. Noticed the problem this morning when I needed to use the wipers.
Thanks for reading.
