Good sticky 20" street tires

Good sticky 20" street tires
Any high HP guys, what are ya'll running for sticky street tires? My big problem is the tires size im running, limiting my options for a good sticky street tire. Im currently running a 305/25/20.
I would hate to do it, but Im thinking about pulling my 20" HRE's this spring and picking up some 19's to open my options up a bit, and probably gain a little bit of speed as well.
What I know for sure is the Conti's I have on here now gotta go come spring. They have plenty of life, but I cant keep these hooked up for ****. I ran my boys AWD SRT8 Cherokee the other day, while I ate his *** up, I couldnt keep traction at all, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I was dancing all over the damn place......granted it is 30 degrees out here.
To clarify, when I say street tire, i mean a true street tire that may see some track time/ street runs, but perfectly capable in turns, etc..

I'm still waiting for you post proper pics of your car. You have a stock body so finding good tires will be difficult for your power level. Your current tire is OEM height. You'll have to move down unless you don't mind a much taller tire. I have 19's and want to keep them and widen them 19x13.5 so I have been looking. I've found that 19 inch options are limited also when you go past 325. I would run a 305/30/19 Michelin PS2. I THINK if you ran a small pull (less than a quarter inch) with flat shaved fenders you could run a 315/30/19.
Another option is a 295/35/18. 18's is the best option if you had a widebody like I do but I still want 19's. You could then run a 345/30/18 (optimal size for the power level). I really would like a 335/25/19 but no ones makes one. The sidewall height is your biggest problem. If you want to hook you need sidewall.

I was going to post some pics I took awhile ago, but the car is getting a real photo shoot done soon, so I figured i would hold out for that. The shop that I deal with has a connection with a guy that shoots for numerous magazines, so I'm anxious to see the quality of the pics and where they end up.
Back to the tires, at least the 19's would give me a little more side wall. My rear is shaved flat now, but not pulled.
I just bought an :LS430, these HRE's might be on that come spring.

I just remembered I had a 305/25/20 toyo on a 10.5 once and it was pretty flush with the rim. Given that you might be able to run a 315/30/19 on a 19x11.5 (about +42 offset) without any pulling or camber. That's basically maxing out the stock body. My point of reference are the 19x11+24's I'm running now. I need stretch and camber.
So your choices are:
19x11.5 +42 with 315/30/19 Pirelli (I don't think Michelin makes this size)
19x11 (+36 to +48) with 305/30/19 Michelin PS2

my HRE's are a 20x11 with that same size tire, and they sit flush with the rim as well. I cant recall what my offsets are off the top of my head, but its high, like 42ish. I could probably still come out a few more millimeters and squeeze it in there. You're probably right on with those 19 choices

Jeff- michelin will not cut it don't waste your time and money..~700+whp you need some R888.
My car hooks on the 315/30r18 r888 at 701whp from 1st to 5th with Zero traction issue and this is on an open diff.
I would keep the same wheels and throw some 888 on it , you can get them from JohnB at 150$ shaved and ready to go last time i checked.
Radial tires in Silver Spring carries them , that's where i get mine from.

You actually don't have to shave them, my buddy asked to shave them but I refused , because I wanted to get some miles out of them.
I bought them brand slap the on and the next I broke an axle lol, I forgot not to lunch the car the 888.
I have over 10k on mine still have some threads left so I could now shave them down and get another 5k miles out of them. They are very very sticky !
I daily drove my car, I got caught in the rain a couple times , I just drive in vaccum around 45mph and I'm good. BUT if you shave them you will kill yourself driving in the rain you will hydroplane, even with the threads going 65mph in the rain the back end will come up ..scary if you ask me.
I will never put anything on my car but r888, I am going with 305/35/18 on 18x12 wheel. I had the 315 but the sidewall as tall as I wanted.
