Lexus gs300 gas pedal acceleration issue
Hi every one, bought a 1998 lexus gs300 at 134K miles in January 2013 and since then I been replacing parts and keeping the car maintained so I can have it last me a while. I have changed oxygen sensors and catalytic convertor cause of replacing the oxygen sensor, battery, head gasket, spark plugs. even changed the oil control valve bank 1 cause my car started shaking and blowing white smoke from the exhaust. Now my problem is that I have to press the gas pedal all the way down to the floor to get a throttle response. I have read thru a lot of forums and still no luck. I changed the starter, checked and swapped battery, I have bought a TPS which has caused the car to turn off each time I turn it on so I put the original back and I was fine. I have recently replaced the accelerator pedal sensor and have tightened the accelerator cable to adjust things but I still have no luck. I forgot to mention that I get no codes off of two scanners that I have used. I may have also done more things that I have failed to mention but I have not done the obvious which is take it to the dealer cause we all know how they rip everyone off. If anyone can offer a bit more affordable suggest or trouble shooting I would appreciate it.
Since I put this thread up, I have also replaced the full throttle assembly which include a new tps and accelerator pedal sensor, but I still have no gas pedal response unless I press it all the way to the floor and also get P0120 off a scanner.

With all that money you spent... the dealer could've found and fixed your problem, but anyway check your fuel pressure its should be 44psi to 50psi ...and check for vacuum leaks before you spend more money on it..

GS300 Hesitation
If you are only able to press your accelerator to the floor in order to get your car to move - this is referred to "limp mode". The ECM will need to be reset (by disconnecting the negative terminal for a few hours). After reconnecting your battery terminal and starting up your car - it should respond back to normal with your accelerator pedal.
Next, the hesitation is most likely due to the Air Intake Resonator. Underneath the resonator is a heat shield. You'll find between the heat shield and the resonator - that the plastic is all cracked and allowing too much air to flow into the throttle body.
RESONATOR - 2003 Lexus GS300 (Part Number: 1786046142)
The best price is from this LEXUS dealers (website): http://www.oemtoyotascionparts.com/o...tor/1786046142
Hopefully, this will fix your problem.
