LS and GS Seat Interchangeability?
Hi,
I'm new to the forums. The drivers seat in my 99 gs300 is looking kinda beat. someone on Craigslist has a perfect 1997 ls400 seat that looks like it would fit. The seat base looks exactly the same. I'm just wondering if the plugs will match up and I'll have full functionality. Attached is a pic of the bottom of the LS seat. and the arrangement of the plugs for the controls. Thanks for your help!

I wont say for sure, but I don't think they will work. If I recall, my 03 GS430 had 4 bolts like any other car to bolt the seat in. One in each corner. My 99 LS400 had 5 bolts. One on each corner and one that actually bolted to the transmission tunnel area I believe. Now, I've removed a lot of seats in my various cars throughout the years so I very well could be mistaken, but I'm kind of sure my LS was the one that had the 5 bolts for the seat. Also, the connectors might be different too. On the GS it uses a manual headrest adjustment. On the LS the headrest is motorized, but I'm not sure if that was on its own connector or part of the seat control connector.
Just a thought, the 5 bolt seat could have been in my 93 SC400 too, so I can't be sure either way.
