GS400 Brake Pedal Harder than Normal
I just picked this car up Saturday (99 GS400). One thing I noticed when I was test driving it was the feel of the brake pedal. I won't say its hard to depress, but I will say it requires a little more effort than my wife's 08 GS350 and my E39 (I shouldn't even compare this one as it is a totally different car). I searched the forums and could only find instances where people had various warning lights/buzzers sound and an incredibly hard brake pedal with very little braking. Mine does not exhibit any of those symptoms, it is just that it requires a little more pressure to apply the brakes. I have receipts from the PO for brake work that was done last month. I don't have the paperwork in front of me at the moment, so I can't give details as to what was actually performed.
Anyway, I'll look when I get home this evening. I just wanted to ask you guys how your brake pedal felt when applying braking under normal conditions.

Its the Master cylinder, mine has deteriorated in the last 15 years. Its not broken but pedal has became harder, my Newer GS430 has the Master cylinder update and it has very good pedal feel. Theres a thread on this but my best answer is the Early Master cylinder is the problem, I'm looking to replace mine on my '99 GS400 also..
