Blackwood / "midnight mahogany" Double din surround?
Hey guys my friend has a JDM JZS161 aristo, OEM blackwood (he insists on calling it midnight mahogany)
he wants a double din trim kit because the jap radio doesn't work in Canada, all he can pick up is a french music station! LOL! Does anyone know where to find it? I'm trying to google but haven't found much so far

Tell him to buy a double din kit and have him send it in to get water transfer printed:
http://www.watertransferprinting.com/wg_gallery.html
one of many places that does it. They can pretty much match anything. Many people have gotten theres done.
This is what DriftGirl did, not direct match but close:

Yea big fan of your ride but he really wants to maintain the full blackwood trim if possible! It's sort of a shame the JDM radio doesn't work because as you know it has all the cool features like passenger seating position, dimmer and all that...although it took some trial and error not knowing Japanese..
We will look into the water transfer, our city is pretty big i bet there are a few shops doing it. Thanks never heard of that process before.

Those pieces are too close together to get a perfect match CLOSE but it will be easy to spot. It really does suck that Toyota didnt make a matching trim plate.
The place that does work for me dipped, stripped and re-dipped 7or8 times to get a 90% Alpina match in my BMW.
Luckily, I dont pay them or it wouldve turned REALLY expensive
Best advice is to re-do everything at once or dont do it at all.
