I'm actually living in Denton but plan to move somewhere closer in, next year. I work near Richardson so I'm kind of all over the place at the moment.

Good luck with the vsc/abs stuff. From what I've read it could be as simple as a speed sensor and as bad as a whole master cylinder assembly.

From what I've listened to on youtube, the Borla + resonator delete sounds pretty mean on a GS400! I may be going that route down the line.

Anyone have a sound clip of the stock mufflers and all 3 resonators cut out?

Just search youtube.

Here's one I found that shows a few stages of the exhaust leading to the final (in the video) setup:

But that sound clip above really makes me wish I had a 400 lol damn
jus out of curiousity, was there a big increase in drone inside the car. and did you remove the 2 long ones or all 3? How much louder was this compared to stock % wise? Ive been thinking of doing this jus haven't made my mind up. Running an aftermarket exhaust.

Drone is not bad at all. You can only hear the difference when you punch it. Sounds a lot better, I am glad I did it.

On my 400, there are 2 long tube resonators, and one that looks like a typical muffler, before them. It is located right after the downpipes near the front of the cabin, and as I recall has 2-into-1 setup, can't recall which direction the 2 outlet pipes are going (in or out) before the 2 long resonators, and then your last 2 mufflers.

Basically there are 3 resonators.

I am hoping this brings a little deeper tone and cuts a little bit of that raspy sound out. I love it though. And I dont think you really get any performance out of doing this but I can definitely feel a difference in my acceleration from a dead stop.
ok. I appreciate the reply. You should post a vid when you get the borla bolted up.

Does it really make a difference to delete the first resonator, that to me looks a bit like a cat, seeing how its hollow? Ill be keeping my stock exhaust set up for a while but id like a little better note without a loud intolerable volume level. So getting rid of at least two resonators seems to be a great start. I just dont know that it'd be worth the extra cost to cut out the first one after the Y.
