Default 20" rims and tires

I thought of buying 20" Lorenzo WL27 set and I'm figuring the right tire size for them.

Specs:

Front 8,5" ET15 or ET35.
Rear 10" ET20 or ET40.

So the questions are:

1. What'll be the perfect tire size (front & rear) so that I can lower it without worrying hitting the fenders? I don't mean to lower it so that the sideskirts scrapes the ground but so that it looks good on those 20" wheels.
2. It's best to choose lower ET (ET15 & ET20), right?
3. What if I put 10" rims up front too? What'll be the tire size then?
4. Should I forget them and instead buy 19" set (they'll be only 8" front & 9,5" rear)?

I had some sizes on my mind, front 225/30 for 8,5" and rear 245/35 for 10". Are those anywhere near of right size? I'd prefer them to have a little stretch to make more clearance for the fenders.

Edit: Also, at what stage does the UCA come in the way? Do I have to worry about it when choosing rims?
It looks to come very close to my wheels even with the stock 17x8 size.

i don't know but 20" rims, but on a lowered car it's no fun when you constantly worry about your bumpers and fenders being scraped. I drove up the driveway and my tire scraped the fender, deforming it ugly as heck. >,<

Ain't that the problem with pretty much every size when you lower it too much and don't have your coils set (spring stiffness etc.) properly?
As said, I'm not going to lower it to the ground. Just enough so it looks fairly good on those twenties. Or I'll go with the 19" wheels.

I'm looking for Toyo Proxes T1R but their smallest size (as far as I've found) is just 225/30 so that'll have to be the size for the fronts apparently.
Rear would be 245/35 but I'm wondering if there's any stretch at all with that size.

Main reason for this topic was to get some info for tires for 20" wheels and if possible some reference pics to see what kind of stretch could be achieved.

Maybe this topic should instead be at VipStyleCars.com than here.

If you're not set on the Toyo's, I'd also recommend the Sumitomo HTRZ III's and I "think" they may have the sizes you're looking for; I'll admit that they are a bit loud, but they have excellent grip and longevity.

EDIT: But I wouldn't suggest a 35-series for a 20", if you're going to do 10's then either a 245/30 or 255/30 would probably workout better. I always use the following page when selecting wheels/tires as it helps gauge how the tires will look in relation to one another:

That'll depend on the offset...

anytime you lower a car and put aftermarket wheels on its a science..

it depends on how much you lower your car, offset, how big the rim is (19's, 20's) etc.

that said for OP offset of 35 and 40, is pretty weak for a GS, i assume it should fit fine depending on how much its lowered.

So I should go with ET15 & ET20?
I'd like the wheel to come as close to the fender as possible without rubbing it.
In another word, I'd like it to have a good stance and make the wheels sit flush with the fenders.

Don't know if I ever achieve that but the closer I get the better.

Something wrong with it. That happens when I change the wheel width wider than 8,5".

It's because you have "NaN" input in the rim width column on the lower set.

Yes because it puts that NaN there after it does that weird thing.
