Default Thoughts on 3m vinyl wrap?

So i have a silver 01 GS430 was considering getting a 3M vinyl done to the entire car since I was quoted a good price from a friend of a friend who has a shop for $2,000 flat for 3M 1080 in any color which seems to be a good price for a quality job. he removes all the bumpers and everything to do it the right way. What colors you guys think look the sickest on a 2GS? and if you guys can post pics would be great I'm having a hard time finding many 2ng gen GS with wraps done to the entire car. Im considering either the Matte Dark Gray, Brushed Metal Steel, or the Gloss Anthracite. I really like the way the 2GS looks with a dark grey color. I wanna know what you guys think and what you guys think looks good on the 2GS I'm open to suggestions. I want something nice but not too loud like hey i wrapped my car since its an old car don't want it to be tacky.

Do it! I'm thinking of doing mine in satin pearl white but the brushed colors look amazing too and the finish on them is unreal. Something paint can't do.

Here's mine in Gloss Pearl white with Avery vinyl. Was gonna go with Satin pearl white but the matte is a little harder to maintain as I barely have time to wash my car. Lots of bird **** near my working place lol. Excuse the iPhone shot of the whole car. I did the whole car myself. Materials about $600. Did the jams as well.

808, i would have never thought that was a 3M wrap job.. Looks great btw...

I love the new plasti dip Anthracite from Dipyour car...

IMO i think the lighter matte color will get dirty quicker but the darker grays and pearls look awesome..

Ya that pearl white wrap looks pretty good but way too time consuming to do. I rather go dip

I think that's the first time someone said dont do matte it's too "trendy". I'm not worried about trendy or not I'm worried about what looks the nicest and isn't too loud.

well matte black reminds me of a barbecue, and matte gray remind me of primer. and i think matte anything is pretty loud, i'd say less than .1% of stock cars rolling around have a factory matte finish. it looks very aftermarket anyway. and in my city every one and their dog is plasti dipping or wrapping their car matte whatever.

i think the white one above looks pretty nice, i wouldn't have known it was a wrap from the photos.

Looks amazing. How did the crevices come out wrapped? Also does anyone know of a reputable shop in the DC Metro area that can do this? Im feeling this versus painting...

Yea I like those brushed metals too but I feel like It might look a little too flashy for a GS even though the brushed titanium looks amazing. Id would be REALLY nice to see a gs in that color or the matte dark grey not too many people wrapped their 2GS I guess since its old. It's kind of hard to imagine how it would look.

So your saying that its easier to maintain the gloss wrap versus the matte? I heard that the gloss scratches much easier is that true? Any cons about the wrap? Really trying to wonder if its worth the $2,000
