Sup guys my car has been acting weird lately I havnt been driving it except on weekends yesterday I took it out for a night out and the tranny would not kick down as if it was stuck in 3rd or fourth then I pulled out a p0974 cel ive searched and not 1 single post on cl or google what can this be? Also what are the symptoms of the gs300 going into limp mode? What does it do?

EOBD code: P0974
Fault location: Shift solenoid (SS) A - circuit high
Probable cause: Wiring short to positive, shift solenoid (SS), ECM/PCM/TCM

Check the wiring to the solenoids on the transmission. Or "shift solenoid A" needs replacement because the resistance is out of spec.

Thanks alot bro for pointing me in the right direction ill try n find more info as to where and wich is shift solenoid "a" is as of now my car is un driveable
