Default Absolute best tires for 2001+ 2gs

Just like the title says just wondering based on everyone's experience what tired provide the BEST RIDE as far as comfort and handling go regardless of price. I just got conti DWS and they're pretty good but I wanted michelin primacy but the guy said those only come on bmw and mercedes and would have to order them so I just went with the DWS. Now don't send me a reply saying I search there is no thread exactly like this one that I can find. I want personal experiences with tires please. And i said 2001 + because i beleive thats when they changed the tire size to 225/55/16. Thanks!

the DWS from Continental is a pretty good tire. Good performance and tread wear. Michelin just came out with their new high performance all season called the Pilot Sport AS3. These would be my two top picks for high performance all seasons.

I just got Goodyear eagle gts and so far have been great, much better then the Dunlop sp sports on the car before. I would have gotten the dws, but they shipped me 215/60/60 (basically the same, but its whatever). I have heard they are good in the snow but I bought a set of new Michelin x-12 snow tires since I wore down the blizzak winter tires, which I'd also suggest based on my experience, if needed of course. (This car without them is pretty bad here in buffalo)

I'm running 225/55/16 stock size. Yea I live in NYC and it snows here as you know so I probably need a tire that's good in snow also. I wonder if the michelin pilot as3 are better then the conti DWS since its michelin and michelin is supposedly like the apple of tires.

In the size you are looking for there are Primacy's but they are higher performance and only rated at about 35k miles. Maybe take a look at some Bridgestone serenity plus. Check Tirerack.com for ratings.
