that sound is not normal. I can guarantee you the car didn't make that sound when it was new. It's likely your servo motor

Yep, exactly what I was thinking. No way that should be normal. Fairly certain its the driver side servo but I'm gonna be at the shop tomorrow and disconnect it to see if the sound goes away. If it does then I'm gonna go pick one up at the dealer tomorrow. It's annoying as hell LOL

Yea. Not very difficult to replace either. There's a DIY around here somewhere

Hello, I've similar noise coming on cold start from my GS300 2001. I just wanted to follow up on this forum to see if you could finally figure it where this sound comes from. (which part is broken/bad) And how much could it cost to repair it? Any help/info would be appreciated. Also is it a serious issue or I could ignore it as minor problem?

I think I have it figured out. (Partially) one sound (the high pitched annoyance) is the alternator. My gauges and lights have been getting kinda dull. The other is cold air blowing into the glove box because of a screwed up servo motor

sorry to bump the thread but I have the exact same noise and based on your YouTube comments, it looks to be the driver side servo.

does anyone have the P/N to the driver side servo?

Thanks

Turn the A/C off. If it’s the servo the noise will stop.
