Default v8 engine size

Looking for some info on actual engine size. Not ltrs but physical size.
Whats the largest motor ever put into a 2gs
Specifically comparing the 2jzgte with a 1u or a 3u or even a lsx or a 6.1 hemi.

Any help is much appreciated.

A lot of people don't have srt hemis sitting around. You're being lazy. If you search on here you would see some gs's have the ls1 swap. It's probably bigger than the 3u. I would think a little googling would yield the ls1 dimensions.

I am not being lazy. Im looking for actual dimensions not ci, ltrs, or how many cyls it has...

If you want to be helpful great, if you want to be an ethug please take it elsewhere.
If this was common knowledge I wouldn't have made a thread for it
And 80 people would have had more input on the subject and at least one or two people would have searched and posted a link just to be helpful.

By the way an lsx has a much smaller profile than a 1u or a 3u.

Thank you for your input.

He's right... you are being lazy.

Since you know what it is exactly you're looking for, a quick Google search would pull up any relevant info quicker than most people would be able to think, then type it.

From my Google search:
LS1: http://ls1tech.com/forums/conversion...imensions.html

SRT10 (Viper): http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/...d.php?t=125378

I checked allpar and they had specs for the 392 but not demensions.
The dimensions you found are for the v10 srt engine which isn't an option for me.
Thank you for the link to ls tech I probably missed that thread or serched the wrong terms.
I'm pretty self sufficient usually.

I am not being an ethug. You are asking others to find info for you that is readily available but not common on this forum. Not many people are going to do your research for you. Asmike i think has a thread about his ls1 swap on here. You contacted him?

You tell me you know the lsx is smaller than the 3u. Then why are you asking about largest motor to go in a gs and including it?

The 2jzgte, 1u, and 3u all come in the car. What are the odds the average member knows the dimensions. We know they fit because they come in the car.

You would have been better off asking if anyone knew of cars with motors swapped other than those 3. Like i said though if you performed a simple search you would have found asmike i think and there was another black one with volks. You want others to do all of your homework while you sit back. I'm not being mean, i'm just telling you the truth.

Actually I think the Lexus V8 is a lot bigger than the LS1.

Edit: It is bigger than the LS1.

Cant say thanks enough for this picture! I found a thread with comparison pics but they were all dead links.
This gives me a much better idea of actual sizes.

honestly, if you are asking because youre looking to do a swap, which im assuming is the case.....you are starting the process from the wrong angle in my opinion. Ask yourself what you are looking for in a swap, what your goals are, how much are you willing to spend, etc, etc, etc.......then start figuring it out from there. Just going from purely what will fit in physical size is not always what you are looking for. And to go a step further, a swap requires a ton of research, if you need help with this step, you are in for a long road ahead of you bro.

Glad I can help. I was bored so here's some more.
http://www.carnut.com/specs/engdim.html
The site lists all/most the American V8 dimensions. Now compare those dimensions to the 4.0 Lexus V8 and you're good to go!
Lexus V8 4.0 quad cam 32 valve V8 basic dimensions:
Length : 655 mm
Height : 610 mm
Width: 620 mm

The first Thread will show what parts AMSMIKE used and his build thread a long the way...

These 2 links should point you in the right direction...
