Default Happy to be a GS owner again

Hi everyone. So happy to be back to owning a GS again. My 99 GS4 was my favorite car, but had to sell it to do other things in life. AKA, got engaged, had a kid, bought a house But found this gem at a used car dealer here in MA and couldn't pass it up for the price.

It's a 2005 GS430. I really wanted a second gen, and since this was the last year they made them, it was the newest I was going to find. All options including ML sound, NAVI, wood steering, etc. Currently has 120,000 on the clock.

Aside from needing a good detail, she's mechanically sound. Since buying, I took off the faded clear bra, painted the rock-chipped front grille, tinted windows and tails and removed the rear badges. Look forward to many years of modding, driving, and being a part of the boards again!

- George

Welcome back! It does look good. Just needs a good detail like you said. I'd take out that carpet and give it a good power wash and cleaning.

Welcome back why didn't you paint the whole grill I think it would have looked great all black. Those wheels are still my favorite stock wheel for the 2nd gen. They should sell fast when you're ready to replace them.

Appointment for the detail is next Tuesday haha

And I may end up just re-leathering the current armrest, Lexus wants like $300 for one from them

Thanks for all the kind words guys, and yea, nothing compares to the ride. Even with over 100,000 on it, still rides like a dream. Even the fiance has noticed

Here's one pic from my old '99

Hey, I remember you George...welcome back to CL and congrats on your new ride. I always loved your old silver GS. You inspired me a long time ago to hunt for the rare and elusive LSportline kit; finally got it all together about 4yrs ago. I'm sure you'll make this one just as nice or even nicer!
