Can anyone please tell me what's different non-hid headlight and hid, want to change mine old factory hid. Can I buy with non hid then put the oem hid light bulb in it? Thank you very much!!!!

The reflectors are set up differently, there are leveling motors, and there's space for the ballast inside the headlight. Also, the HID bulb won't fit the socket in a non-HID housing.

Non-HID cars will not have the proper wiring, ballasts, auto-leveling, or socket. You would be better off simply buying a high quality aftermarket HID (4300k or 6000k) kit to have installed into your vehicle.

Sure as non-HID's are powered directly from the car's 12 V circuit while HID's need 28,000 V pulse to start.

my stock 01 came with HID.

The Gs300 came with stock hid in switzerland from year 98.

All 2GS have had options for HID. 98-2005
98-2000 HID was an option for BOTH GS 300 and 400 (although I see more 400 with it than 300 from those years )

01 and up GS 430 came standard with HID
300 was still optional.
