Yea I tought about that after scraping off alot of it so im forced to use new one on this one headlight the other I will pop it on the over to get the sealer soft again and add a bit new sealer on the channel and clamp together
What type of sealer did you guys use please be specific so there is no confusion for me And other who will be doing a retrofit in futer also im getting all my pics in order for the write up
I believe its retrofitsource that sells rolls of butyl rubber sealant, around $15 IIRC. Basically the same as the factory glue except black. Heat sensitive like the factory glue so if you need to reopen them it won't be a problem. I've used this on a couple sets.

Hmmm thanks so these are strips that I am assuming u put in the chanel and re heat in oven to soften and just place the lens back and clamp while it cools?

Correct, that's the procedure, although I didn't feel the need to clamp them, it firms up and holds pretty quickly, certainly wouldn't hurt to do it. One roll is more than enough to do both lights.

Yes, I did use butyl from TRS. I didn't bother reusing the old seal, being afraid that it would condensate. You can do at least 3-4 pairs of headlights for 15 bucks.
