Wise move. What I have learned about owning this car is that unless the shop is familiar with Lexus/Toyota, you may get mediocre work done or the mechanic will do the wrong thing even though he thinks he is doing the right thing. Here's an example, when I had my coolant flushed last year, I had a mechanic with a decent reputation do it for me. I saw him start to pour green coolant into the radiator tank. Good thing I saw him do that because I immediately stopped him and advised him to put Toyota red coolant in the tank. He tried to tell me that they all work the same and it can be mixed with the red without having any problems. This is why if I need to see a mechanic, he MUST specialize in Lexus/Toyota. Many mechanics out there have old habits that they will never break.
