For all you gs300 owners..where does your temperature needle sit at..at normal temperature? Mine stays a little bit past half...is this normal? Bought it like that

Hmm, on my 98 GS300 it sits a tad below half. I will be changing the timing belt and all other recommended items so maybe a new thermostat will change that. This was my wife's grandmothers car before we bought it and even when it had 50k miles on it the temp gauge was a touch below half. My gauge might be off. Runs fine and heat is plenty hot.

to be honest, the temp gauge is not that accurate. so long as your riding around the 1/2 mark, and not going upwards past 2/3s or even 3/4s, your still good. just keep an eye on it.
some will read below the 1/2 way mark, some above it, so long as its around the 1/2 way, its good.
