so in the racing world, we make things as light as possible, then take 10% more weight off lol, so in lowering, you slam until the bodywork gets ripped off and then go 10% lower? lol

yessir. Shortened bumpers, fender and 1/4 panel work be it trimming, rolling, pulling or radius, notching, tubbing, etc. A lot of adding to in order to take away (or) taking away in order to add to. A few mm either way could make or break your day.
