Well, its been 17 months and 28712 miles since I changed my oil last. Another long extended drain in the books. Sampled oil for analysis. I have a nearly 3 year history (66200 miles, now making that just under 95k miles) of oil changes that show the extended drains are doing very well for me. And changed the air filter too. Its been 30-40k on this air filter. NAPA here has a killer sale 75% off on them every February, so I grab a couple every other yet.

I run 1.5 quart oil filter (Amsoil EAO26) and 7 quarts of Amsoil 0W20 oil. And for the last 28712 miles, I didn't add a drop of oil. It was down to the low end of the fill line, but I knew I was changing so I let it go to the end. This should give me a good oil analysis.

This time I switched to Amsoil HDD 5W30 Diesel oil. Will see how the oil analysis works on the HDD oil for the next 25k-30k miles. I want to see if the HDD diesel 5W30 shows better oil analysis when I change in 25k-30k miles...

Will cross 271k miles next week....Oil analysis shows a very healthy 1UZ-FE!

Replaced my sonar tails with depo tails since one had burned out. Also added a trd garnish and now I'm thinking about swapping out the chrome trunk bar for my oem one. Maybe remove the chrome emblem as well or plastidip it. What do y'all think?

Last night from like 5pm to 10pm (I'm a loser I know) I finally installed the 'final konnexion' coilovers, inner & outer tie rods (inners were pretty worn), front uca's (one side was worn more than the other..), and Megan Racing front rca's. Getting it aligned today and I'll take some pics. Now all she needs is some body work and paint

Just put in Phillips brand 6000k HID bulbs. I should have tried one, first, to compare to the 6000k aftermarket ones I have.

The strange thing is that they do not perfectly match the 6000k Sylvania brand 194 bulb.

So, my first question is, who do you guys trust? Both are big names in lighting. Who has closer to true 6000k?

Does anyone here run Phillips 6000k HID (D2R) in factory housing? Was the change from OEM (5200k?) quickly noticeable?

You cant match HID, LED or halogen, its practically impossible.

Now that LED technology has come to where its at, your best bet is to buy some 6000k LED conversion bulbs for your headlights and some 6000k LED 194's (if you dont already have them).

Not to mention, if you have an 01+ GS with the green tinted chrome, say goodbye to matching LoL That green tint throws it off horribly! I did a projector retrofit and still have the green sending a slightly different color.

That is sad. That means that one of those major companies is lying.

Wouldn't the green tint do the same thing to all light of the same temp?

I would have tried 6000k 9006s if I had factory halogen. I have them in my fogs.
Even so, I have 4 separate bulbs that are supposed to be 6000k. Generic 194, Sylvania 194, Philips HID and generic 9006 (Cree, maybe)
4 different colors. Sucks.

The only things I am still wondering is if I got some fake Philips bulbs and/or the LED light gets filtered differently than the HID (Due to being a wider or narrower band)

Gave her alot of attention even while working smh. Alternator started burning up and whining so replaced that today after my car wouldnt start. I also replaced all my center console bulbs in led thanks to a couple members here. Heres some before and afters. 2 neo wedge t3s and 1 neonwedge t4 as well as one factory heater indicator bulb. Also a 74 for the trans indicator bulb.

Issues I had with them:
1. They seem to get scuffed relatively easy. Saw some scratches, not sure if it happened during shipping or I did it while I was installing.
2. the front visors were a little bit short. In the last pic below you will see it does not go flush with the end of the door frame. Weird thing is the passenger side is flush and the drivers side isn't. If you don't mind the gap between the visor and the door frame then you would love these.
3. Think I hear a bit more wind noise. However it was more windy than usual so I will update further.

Pros:
1. Looks really good to me. I like that it is slim and not bulging out like the regular aftermarket type.
2. Had 3m tape and clips
3. Cost $64

Things to note:
it has a kind of bluish tint to it. Not sure how to describe it.

Would I buy it again if I could do it over? Yep. Happy with the purchase.

Where did you get these from?
