Default Slow acceleration and hesistation.. Help!

Guys,

i searched and i couldnt find a definate answer to my issue. please help me out if you can. my car starts and idles fine no CEL or anything. when driving normal its okay but the problem starts when i have it at WOT. the car hesistate and RPM takes a while to get up. Even from a dig my car would not want to push it like how it was when i first bought the car. I tried to reset ECU by disconnecting the battery for 5 mins and also tried cleaning the MAF at the same time. Its gotten worst! im so frustrated and irritated by this problem. anyone have this problem or can chiam in with some info on how to fix this?

thanks in advance!

I had this problem with my Nissan. It ended up being a problem with the throttle response after applying the brake.

Hope this helps!

I would first take it to an Auto Zone and have them read the codes. There can be codes set that don't turn on the CEL. Auto Zone does this free. Also check the air cleaner and make sure all the ducts are clear.

I fought a similar issue on my car, (01 430). I recognized the problem as an over lean condition. I cleaned the MAF a couple of times, each time it ran better or a while. Finally replaced the MAF, (Sewell, around $140.00 if memory serves) Made all the difference in the world. Improved power and fuel economy.

im thinking its my MAF sensor too. i will try to clean it again with CRC and a qtip. if that doesnt work.... might have to get a new one. I'll report back with updates.

Sounds like the Cataly Converters are clogged. That happened to me, until eventually the car stopped accelerating altogether.

Okay guys. I fixed it!!!!! After a good inspection and a super thorough cleaning using crc my car runs like when I first bought it. Wat a relief I tell u... The first time I cleaned the maf I only cleaned the hot wires but when I took a second look at the maf, there were two more wires or resistors inside the tunnel. It looked dirty and grimmy. I sprayed that down really good, let it dry, reset ecu and BAM! my car is back.. Should of double checked long time ago. Thanks to those who gave me input.
