please help i have 01 gs430 my check engine light comes on and off intermittently code says cats going bad but then my speedo quit working vsc wont turn off so i can drift and power surges intermittently.i read some where in here about the ecu caps going bad and this is what possibly could be the problem and also some months ago i had to replace my maf pleeeease some one friggin help me im getting pissed

i dont have them here in front of me but i will get them and i was just on here a lil while ago and cant find the lengthy thread explaining all the exact symptoms of my car and a gentleman was explaining it might be the caps in my ecu do u know anything about that please

the ecu failing could be a issue i had to get my buddies rebuilt but his issue were more like the throttle body not working 25% throttle no more. a lot of people go thru tps and throttle bodies when the problem lies in the ecu easy way to find out is if you have a friend with the same car you can swap out the ecu to check just have to remove the chip in the key with out the proper chip in the key it wont start. lexus dealer had told him it was his throttle body and wanted 2000 for it. got his ecu fixed and reflased for the key for about 500
