I recently purchase a 18 LED License plate Lamp from IJDMTOY. That is direct fit into the license housing lamp. However when i removed all the cover in the trunk, i dont know what is the next step to take out the license lamp so i can put the new one in. Can anyone help me with this step by step or have any pic to show me? thank you very much

you have to remove the trunk bar. it is held on with 4 (10MM) bolts and clips.

1) remove trunk panel lid inner cover ( whole bunch of plastic push tabs)
2) remove trunk bar, held in place with x4 10mm nuts (2 nuts hold the trunk lock in place)
3) twist and unplug the peanut bulb sockets
4) pinch each side of the license plate bulb lens to release the plastic pressure tabs

Just swapped my trunk the other day I stabbed myself 3 times taking off those plastic push tabs!

totally forgot about the "help, ive been kidnappedm, need to make my ninja escape!" handle.

on the earlier 2gs's, didnt have that. my 98-00 didnt have one, but my 01 does. i just used a plastic pry tool and snaked the edge around the handle.

i need to get one of those plastic pry tools. i used two small flatheads (gotta pull them out evenly or else it doesn't come out)

it was such a pleasure to pop them back on though.
