Default Please help me 2jzgte vvti swap

This is going to sound soooo stupid but I was wondering if anyone can measure their oil dipstick for their 2jzgte vvti swap. I think that my dipstick got switched during the swap and I can't find it anywhere. I would really appreciate it. I'm almost positive that the motor is only supposted to take 5 1/2 quarts of oil and according to the dipstick it wants almost 6.5 quarts. Please help. I think this is the answer to some of my problems. Thanks.

Is your motor all stock? More plumbing/bigger turbo may have an effect on how much oil needed vs recommended. Also, are you checking after running the car a few minutes or when its cool? Sorry cant help you on the dipstick part of it.

It's not stock but I checked it b4 initial start up. I found out the dip sticks are the same part number for the stock motor and the gte. Tanks

Always run the motor for a few seconds before checking the oil the first time. You have to fill up the oil filter and all of the plumbing outside the pan. Starting and running for a few seconds with no load won't hurt anything if you're a quart or two low. It's easier to add more than to drain some out.
