Default Where can I find a good car cover for my GS?

Looking for a car cover for outside, winter hibernation. No longer using the GS a daily driver. My wife and I just bought a 3rd car...a pre-owned RX!

Not looking to spend a lot on this cover, pref under $100. Lmk of ideas where to get one. Thanks guys!

No way you're gonna find a quality one for under that amount. If you are willing to spend a bit more to protect your ride, check out California car covers or Coverking. There are a few more out there as well if you want to open up your wallet.

What you could do is to pickup a regular car cover from say Autozone/Pep etc. then get a GOOD heavy duty tarp for ALL elements protection and drape it over with good secure points. Get the tarp much bigger ofcourse. That will hold you over and not too pricey

Rock,

Put a WTB in the classifieds, you'd be surprised how many people have quality covers and don't use them. I had two I sold with my GS (one Noah and one OEM).

Congrats on the new RX!

Try SewellParts. If you don't have an account with them, go ahead and make one. You'll get a nice substantial discount off virtually everything on the site. I'm sure the Lexus OEM car cover is very goooOoOOod in quality. Check it out!

Thanks Dave! We love our RX...perfect for a family of 3, perhaps 4 in the next year or so.

try the classifieds, my advice is dont get a cheap car cover, you'll end up scratching the car more than its helping it.

btw, look up techniques on how to put it on!

I was planning to get a car cover for my other car during winter storage, but unless the car is indoor, its not a good idea since wind will blow dust, sand, moisture beneath the car cover and the wind blowing on the car cover will be like rubbing sand paper constantly on your paint.

for out doors I would look into something like this, I'm thinking of getting something like this

I see them at local hardware, home stores, for around $100+ depending on how big and fancy you want to get.

for that price its not much more than a decent car cover, and another + is you can store other cars in the tent too.

true but i wonder how well they hold up to the elements.....i wonder more the "Shelf life" of the product being outside all the time....i def wouldnt want a storm to blow it over and have a heap of metal poles hit my car. i mean i have a garage but its full of parts/motorcycles/etc. the one you posted looks to be of a good quality but im sure the hardware stores arent the same....

looking at the base/tarp no way that one is under $300. i would be shocked if its under $500 to be honest and that wouldnt be including shipping.

xinlishelter.en.alibaba.com is the website but these things are in mainland china and must be ordered 5 at a time so goodluck getting one
