I need to do coolant maintenance on my 2002 GS430, Went to Carson Toyota and ask for the pink coolant but i was advise there are two types of coolant, one is long life and the other is ultra long life which is a 50/50 mix.. I was also advise that you can not mix the two and will need to figure out the type of coolant use .. so Which one do you use and recommend? Long Life or Ultra Long Life?

Just pick one or the other, and still service once a year. Personally I like buying 100% coolant, instead of buying 50% water, especially when they're close to the same cost. Also I think the red coolant is straight coolant and the pink is 50/50. It's been a few years since I worked for Toyota

For your car you need long life. The other ultra long life is for the newer cars 07+.

I agree with this guy. I use the red (long life). Bought a gallon 1.5 months ago for $24.

I use the Toyota red stuff. It's about the same price at the dealer as the Preston's at Walmart
