Problems starting car after refueling...
Ok, im a little irritated about this issue. I have an 04GS300 with a GTE swap. After i refuel my car, while still at the gas station, I have to crank and hold the key while repeatedly pressing the gas pedal and almost flooding the motor to get it to start. Also, if i dont raise the rpms to about 1200 and shift the car into gear immediately after successfully starting the car, it'll cut off and I have to do it all over again. It only does this right after refueling. Any other time, it starts the first time around with no issues. Has anyone else had this issue? if anyone can help, id really appreciate it...

@Mr Jokster: pumping the throttle is the only way the car starts after refueling. its the only time it does that. i dont wait till its low on gas to refuel, and it still does that.

sounds like fuel pump...if the fuel pump is good, the fact that it's right after refueling would then lead me to evap system.
however, the fact that you need to put the engine under load to keep her running again points back to fuel pump.
For ****s and giggles...whens the last time you did a fuel filter?

When the car detects the throttle above a certain percentage (I always set it at 70% on the cars I tune) during cranking it does what it calls a "flood clear". Makes perfect sense to me. It's an option in all the tuning software I have used.

jcat was onto something with the evap system. i suspect flooded charcoal canister.
However, i have no idea what parts of the evap system you have hooked up with the GTE swap. I'd say next time you fuel it up, pinch off the evap Purge line and see if it starts normally. The purge shouldn't really be turned on when you first fire it up but with the swap, I don't really know what's going on. But i do know that evap problems can cause things very similar to this.

I will also be replacing my EVAP valves in the meantime.
