It's beyond silly to take your car to the dealer for a simpl brake pad change. It's brake pads, take it to any car repair place.

It's easy. lift your car and secure it with jack stands. Take off your wheel and turn it away from you to make it easier to work. Just remove 2 bolts that hold the top of the caliper on and pull it off. Replace the brake pads. Remove you oil cap and compress your pistons. Then put everything back together. I'll try to do a full DIY with pics later.

Please do this. This will be helpful because there isn't a real DIY on this site for brake pad change.

Check this out: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake/ goober.

It is an LS tutorial but very similar to GS, I will post the DIY from my manual when I get the chance.

Also, I found that first link using the Hello all thread. It is a good one: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ou-search.html

I uploaded this pdf from my Service Manual. You should look for the service manual online, it is a great tool. http://pdfcast.org/pdf/1998-2005-lex...-brake-pad-diy
