Yeah this shop got a whole lot going on down here. SC's, Supras, Celica GT-4's and GS's. I wish this car was here when I stopped by earlier.

I'm calling 110% BS on a $2k V161 swap in a GS. Unless the shop owed you some serious favors, that won't happen. Maybe additional parts and the labor went for $2k, but you cannot buy and install a V161 in the GS for under $2k.


For the rest of you...why can't people make suggestions without automatically being a hater or as you so eloquently put it 'a window shopper'? Talking **** like that isn't necessary.

nice job on the center shift area looks stock if i could ever get the money together for the trans and clutch this is next on my list if nothing else it will be done by next summer been waiting two long as is already have my clutch pedal and master cylinder in ready to go made my own custom pedal assembly. what did you end up using? the is300 set up?

2 k where i couldn't do it for that and that's with me doing everything myself that's why i am going with a t-56 trans those go for around 1500 but a v161 is 3,000 used if you can find one 6,000 new believe me i checked i would love to run the v161 but its to much money for me. if you got it for two grand great job i aint hatin thats a hell of a deal parts would normally run more then that with out labor.

Maybe it was 2k with parts and labor because he said he already had the tranny.
