Default Moon roof sun roof rattle

My moon roof rattles when it is open. Today I discovered that after the moon roof is opened by the one touch method if you push the switch again to open direction it moves just a little bit more. When it does this the roof sits tighter in its slot and the rattle goes away. FYI

No, you guys do not even read. This is not the shade rattling. I did search, and I found no one that mentioned this. I am sick and tired of people blindly saying ,"do a search" . This is the loose mechanism that causes the rattle which I assume is do to wear. By moving the roof all the way open it jams the roof so it can't move. It has nothing to do with the shade, the trim or any related issue already mentioned previously.

Do you see a question mark anywhere in my first statement?

I know that this rattles on my GS when the sunroof is open:

Sam, I think your sunroof not closing all the way is the problem as mine closes completely without having to press the button again.

After you press it a second time to open it, do you need to press it twice for it to close fully? Just a thought.

OP check the surrounds of the sunroof and make sure none of the arms are broken and that the tracks are clear.this caused a rattle in my car till i got it fixed and caused me sometimes to have to push the button more than once to close it

also OP just to let you know, the + sign right after the quote button will allow you to respond to alot of people in one post all at once.
