Default Strange noise behind stereo.

Hello all, I am new to the forum, so if i make mistakes, i apologize. I currently own a 2002 gs300 with 132k on it and recently it has started making an odd noise. ive searched this forum for a few days and cannot find anyone who has a noise similar to this. It sounds like a sort of gurgling, not like the ones i hear on audio clips of air bubbles in the coolant, its not a constant gurgle. it just gurgles a little, then stops, then starts again, almost in a pattern. it is also accompanied by a slight mechanical whir ever now and then. im not reall sure what it could be. thank you in advance for taking time to read.
i also forgot to add that it does this all the time. ac on, ac off, altho im not sure about when im in drive, but definitely while in park.

Try searching for servo motor. Sounds like it may be the issue you are having

Mine makes the exact same noise as well. Also sound like plastic rubbing on plastic. Mine started as soon as I completed my GTE swap though. I thought it might be the heater core rubbing on something in there since I had to tweak the inside heater core line a bit. Please let me know if you find something out and I will let you know if I find something out as well.

Search "Gargling" instead of gurgling.

I had that 'rubbing' type sound too THINKING it was the 'gargling' sound and found out it was my gauge cluster 'trim' that was rubbing leather on leather on the dash.
