I involved in a accident almost a month now. Some times when I was driving in local, my car was in 2000rpm and suddently dropped to idle 800rpm and not responsed to gas padel. I can hear the engine roar but rpm stays in 800rpm. It happened for around 10 seconds and back to normal again. Does anyone have this experiences? Is this the transmission problems? Can someone help please?????

I dont' know about gs400

but my sc300 which the same engine as gs300...

yes, it happen a while when I'm driving under 40 but RPM was high...
So, I brought the car to the dealer they say it's transmission problem...

I think your trans. is heading south. I used to owned a Supra and the symptoms are listed above. It all depend on how the previous owner took care of the car. And most importantly, His/Her style of abusive driving.

I had my battery for 4 & 1/2 years now, went to Autozone and they checked my battery and found out is bad. I changed with warranty for 4 years. I got my car back and the accelaration is not as powerful as before...I drive for 15 mniutes and since like the tranny issue is gone...

I found out my rpm dropped to 800rpm when I was driving at 2000rpm. It does NOT roar when I pressed on the pedal. My mechanic think it might be the throttle sensor...
