Default need some advice about possible trade

is it worth it to sell my stock 00 gs400 with only 43K miles to get a tastefully modded 01 gs300 with 103K miles? the 300 is black on black and has all the things i would like to do to my car, mainly a brand new paintjob. i have an interested buyer whos willing to pay $14K for my car. the 300 is priced at $16K obo. i would only need to come up with $2k. it will cost me way over that if i did the same things to my current car. the only thing that is holding me back is the mileage and the power difference between the 300 and the 400. please share your input about the pros/cons, or am i just wrong for even thiniking about this deal.

Don't do it...your car is still basically new....it's more fun to mod your car than to get one already done with someone else's taste...keep it

Maybe pics of both cars would help... Also there is a big difference in power between the two.. The 300 will feel alot slower compared to the 400. And your 400 has really low miles!! I say keep it and that extra $2k put towards getting your car where YOU want it.

*edit*
I wish my 400 had 43k miles on it!!

your GS4 is worth more than the G3.
Besides, don't you like the bigger motor?

You'd be silly to trade my friend. Keep your beast. Do some slow upgrading to it. Or if not keep it completely stock and just save up and get a GS300 to mess around with. Now and days they're not that hard to come across for a decent price under 140k.

Have you driven a 300? I personally would not trade. 400>300. You can always slowly built your car like that 300 or even better. You have great pros. V8, low mileage. Look into the silver 2gs thread for inspiration.

The 300 is real nice but I agree with everyone else too... keep the 400 and make it how you want it.

Keep it. It's a no brainer your car is worth a lot more than the other. Take the time and slowly build your car with the V8 with low miles.

Haha! I'm actually in the process of moving there. As soon as I find a job, I'm moving there.
