Default Engine Cover 2GS

Does it serve a purpose?

Installed my STB today and unfortunately confirmed that Tein STB WILL NOT fit a 2gs (300) with Cover.

Nope. There's a bunch of members who don't run the covers, including me.

Just worried potential dirt problems. With regards to the STB can anyone confirm if it makes a bi difference? I feel like the steering is LOOSER and less stiff compared to without a stb. It almost feels bouncier. Can anyone with a strut bar chime in?

I changed strut bar at 10pm with a flashlight and didn't have torque wrench will it make a big difference without torquing it to spec?

I know I read somewhere It's good to raise the front wheels off the ground and re tightened the strut bar. Now on the engine cover I know in the newer cars it actually reduces engine noise to the cabin, don't know how true that is in our cars I haven't tried it.

Nice, I was worried about the same issue. Plan on purchasing the Tein STB as well.

As tight as you can, coilover nuts tightness doesn't do anything besides holding the coilover in place.

dont wanna over-tighten (resulting in stripping the nut)

so just wanna know the spec.

Apparently, STB needs to be tightened with the front wheels up in the air

I'll have to try it
