Almost a month ago now, on my way home from graduation (just my luck), I got in an accident, again.Third wreck in two years...
First, hydroplaned in my Camry, spun, hit a pole.
Second, hit by a drunk driver and totaled my first brand new car.
This time, someone pulled out (or rather darted out) from a restaurant trying to cut four lanes to take a left. I barely had any time to react and hit the front right fender area of their car, front right of my car. Had my sister in the passenger seat. She was scared and had minor injuries but we were both ok.
The speed limit on that road is 45. Four lanes in my direction (left turn, two straight, right turn and had a wide almost two lane sized median). I was on the left side of the straight lane. I was doing about 50, 51 before the accident. It's a pretty wide road and people usually go 50+. The other person's insurance tried to tell me the road was a 35 zone (that's what the cop wrote on the police report) and would only give me 80% of the value of the car. I told my attorney it was a 45 zone and they rechecked the speed limits and now they are only giving 90%.
Anyway, now I'm out yet another car. No point in buying another one since I'm shipping out to Parris Island next month for boot camp. I plan on getting a 2013 5.0 Mustang or 2013 Genesis Coupe when I get back

with this new law out ,due to the fact you hit the front of your car and the airbags deployed, you are automatically at some percentage of fault. there gonna say you would of had time to avoid the accident if you followed the proper rules. but either way be glad nobody got seriously injured and that insurance is covering it. i have seen some instances where people have just liability and the other driver has no insurance, it happened to my nephew. he got smacked by a drunk driver and they didnt have insurance, yeh the dude went to jail but my nephew didnt get a dime and had to take a lost.

Sorry to hear bout the accident. Glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get more than initially estimated. You mentioned you're shipping out? Thank you for your service to our country.
