Its not made in China. Authentic JDM stuff is not cheap. Consider the price of a set of good JDM tail lights. They run about $4-500. Also, a set of factory Lexus HID headlights are about $600. Now take into account the LEDs and projectors and the work to put them in.

Those are not JDM folx, its just another ricer term, please keep those words out of here. Those headlights above are OEM completely customized with led's for turn signals, a halo ring and more led's on the upper corners with vulcans for high beams. Look to be a one-op and not a mass produced item. Look at the picture that shows the back, its got all the oem stickers on them. So the price is understandable even as high as it is. Looks to be a well-done job, however, god knows why he only retro'ed for the high beams only not to mention, there are NO HID's on this. The low beams have the OEM halogen bowls and you can clearly see a 9006 bulb in the high beam... In second thought, thats too much for them.

As for the difference between "JDM" and US hids, probably nothing, however the difference Japanese projectors are the cutoffs. Because they drive on the Left side of the road, the projectors run off to the left as opposed to the right, so they dont blind the oncoming traffic.

If you buy projectors that Luxury Mods makes a bracket for, its very easy. Just time consuming. There are quite a few DIY threads on it, including one I wrote. Just search, you'll find them. As for cost, well all depends on what projectors you want. The Q45's and LS430's are usually about $500 bucks or more a pair. But I've seen them as low as $300+ from people who dont know what they have. All other projectors are about $250. The FX-R's can be bought for I think $150 through Luxury Mods, but they are pretty small in comparison to the size 'hole' we have in our low beams. Its the last picture I posted on page 2. If you're good enough, you can do a complete retrofit in less than an hour, but for a noob, it can take 2-4 hours.

To buy them already done, all depends on how much someone really needs to sell them. You figure a minimum of $150 for an old pair of headlights, another $250+ for the projectors, another $250 for the labor, so I'd say a minimum of $650. and thats the LOW end. There are some of us that will do the work for you if you send both the materials needed (i.e projectors and brackets) along with your headlights, the LOW cost is $250 and goes up from there.

Nothing bad can happen putting them in the oven. As long as you pull off all the metal pieces and just keep an eye on things, nothing will happen. The metal pieces get hot and melt whatever they are touching. 250* and 10 minutes in the oven and you're good to go, that heat and time combination doesnt even soften the plastic at all! However, 350^ for 10 mins will, how do I know? I did it LoL my eyes are bad and thought it said 250 lol, but even then, it barley softened the plastic, and that was only the lens portion (the thinnest part) These plastics are VERY durable.
