I've seen this on other cars, never heard of it on a Lexus but if your car is over 10 year old this can happen to any car. Just check your door pins or trunk pin. Some one said sensor but in fact door pins go bad on all cars eventually. Their cheap to replace and the pins is what tells the car if the door or trunk has open/closed.. My guess is you have faulty pin, not enough to trigger the door lights but doesn't send a positive signal to notify car that the door or trunk has closed. (Door or Trunk Pins)

I'm having the same problem ... I leave it in the on position and clicked twice on the lock and the lights would come off ... I got my car back from the shop today and it doesn't do it anymore.

I've been dealing with a similair issue for about 3 months or so.
Low beams will not turn off after switch has been turned on. Not with locking doors, not until you restart the car with the switch in off. Lights stay on, and turn the high beams on when the key is on, and the switch is turned off. All other lights work as intended.
Replaced the fuse box relay, the joint relay mounted to the fender, the leveling computer under the driver headlight, the resistor near the abs/master cylinder, and just today the Daytime running module behind the glovebox.
Truly lost as to what is even going on.

Taillights, fogs , and side markers turn off. Low beams do not.
