looks like it wasn't cleaned or sanded and prepped at all. Even just some Brake Kleen would have yielded a better result...

It looks kinda textured. if it was black.. maybe play it off better... but such a bright color brings up all the imperfections!

4eign - this is one of my planned upgrades. living through my brothers. did you put any clear coat?

in this to know what tips are to prep these calipers?

any cleaning products, process, to doing this look better?

This was done using G2 caliper paint. I sanded the calipers down as much as I could, starting at a 180 grit working my way up to a 400-600 grit. Its all in the prep work.

Here's a pic of my Supra TT calipers with gloss black G2 paint. I sanded them using 220 grit, then 400, & finished with 600 grit. Used 2 coats of paint, put on the decals after 24 hours of drying, & then sprayed on 3 coats of high temp clear coat. Turned out niiiice. For the Lexus stickers go to http://motogfx.com/lexus/. Be sure to do a good job taping the caliper before painting and clear coat. It may take a while, but you'll be glad you did when you have nice straight lines and no clear coat overspray.
