The BMW wheels appeal to me for the following reasons:

a.) It's an OEM wheel. That translates to quality. I'm going to have minimal worries about this wheel cracking on me like you see once in a while with the cheaper reps.

b.) Redrilling takes time, effort, and money, so you won't see these wheels on a Lexus every day.

I just picked up a set of tires this weekend.

Continental Conti Sport Contact 3 from a 2010 BMW M3

front: 245-35-19
rear: 265-35-19

I'm determined to make em fit :-)

Already got the style-95s. And M6 wheels, thought about those, but they just don't do it for me...

Hi folks,

The redrilling is all completed. I ended up using MemoryFab in Union City. At $75/wheel they aren't the cheapest but they are local and David seems to have plenty of experience with this. We ended up converting to the conical taper lugs with a 60degree taper instead of using flat lugs like is OEM.

I had a chance to mount the tires (pulled off a low mileage 2010 M3) and had them balanced.

In addition, I went down to Tap-Plastics and constructed some custom gloss centercaps to replace the BMW caps.

Next step is to move on to the rear fender shaving and front fender rolling and I should have everything done in a couple weeks.

I'm running on the 17x8 silver OEM wheels on my '01 GS430. They look nice. I did imagine putting on some spacers to push them out a bit and giving it a more agressive look. But I think I will just wait til that tax season and put these on my bad boy...

Ya, the OEM 17's look pretty good spaced out with a drop. However, I quickly got tired of the look and wanted something more aggressive looking.

I SEE!!! WOW- that is sooo sweeet. Redrilled... Looks AWESOME. That's pretty bad-***.

Your GS is the white one? The newer RX 18's look great on it! Do they clear the fenders with no mods?
I'm running 25mm spacers all around but have 245/45's on the oem 17 x 8's... (so the fenders have to be modified)

Who's black GS with the 33mm spacers on the front, on the stock chrome 17's with 235's? The fenders look sotck on those pics.. Does that CLEAR with 33mm spacers and 235/45's up front!? If so, I DEF need to get rid of the 245's then.

I can't speak for the black car but the white car (mine) had no clearance problems with the 18" RX350 wheels. There was plenty of clearance. You just need a 5mm spacer in the front to clear the front brakes. My wheels/tires are for sale if interested. I don't need them anymore now that I got the BMW wheels.

Get some used Volks or Works Varrs are nice and all but not into reps. Don't really like mixed brand oem wheels.

Hi folks,

Just wanted to follow-up with a teaser pic. As you can see it's not as slammed as many of the cars here, but I am very happy with the look and it's perfectly functional with no rubbing, even with passengers. It turned out to be a lot of work but I'm glad it's done! For those wondering, the RX350 wheels have been sold this weekend.

looks good man. I have the stock chrome 17's on my 01 430, i might look into rockin spacers like you mentioned in the mean time while i save for wheels. Again, your ride looks nice, always been a huge fan of the crystal white!

Looks great BayArea, love the way they look. How's the ride/handling compared to the 18's now that you had them for a little while?
