Default Is the exhaust supposed to sound like this?

I notice with my 400, when pressing some gas, I hear a "vssss"

I tried to capture this in a video but I'm not sure how well my phone captured the sound.
I'm very sorry I dont know how to embed on this forum.. If someone else can do it for me, thanks but this is the best I can do

Does this contribute to any loss in performance? is it an exhaust leak? Let me know what you think guys

I also forgot to mention that the sound is coming from mainly under the front end of the car like the underside of the where the gear shifter is.

I took the car to an exhaust guy, and he did some welding where he thought the leak was.

But I still hear it. That's why I'm asking it its normal.

if u have access to hoist, when the car is somewhat cold, hit ur exhaust pipe with your palm, see if u hear anything, most likely if stock exhaust, the metal shielding that forms around the exhaust has broke loose or even the heat shielding itself is loose.

Definitely not alternator. Its the sound of a whoosh of air right after letting go of the gas pedal.

And its not heat shield either. its a sound of air. Unless the heat shield makes an air sound

I just was watching another member show his Borla off on his 400 and I hear the same kind of noise. Im not sure if that is a coincidence that he has the same exhaust leak, or if its just normal.

I will look through the exhaust clip thread for the V8 engines to see if I hear it there.
