Default DIY Door Lock Actuator

I recently swapped out my door lock actuator motor by hand and used these video's as a guide. I have a 99 Lexus GS 400 and definetly worth the time if your interested in saving $140. I caution to take your time with splitting the actual case that houses the motor and gears. I did this by using a razor blade to first get a slit started to get a putty knife in there. Be carefull when it is apart not to drop the case or the revolving gear can fall out with the spring.
This is where i purchased the motors. So far so good. http://myworld.ebay.com/mopselectric...id=p4340.l2559

That video does unnecessary steps. You'll be wasting your time following his steps

Don't need to be so harsh. If his post helped one person it's of value. The DIY door actuator sticky has 50+ pages and some people don't have time nor want to spend the time reading through all that.

As for the videos, there are some unnecessary steps, but instead of saying you'll be wasting your time, why don't you tell him what steps he can skip, ie. leave the window rolled up and you don't have to remove it.

Just my opinion though.

To take off the Front door actuators, 2 clips and 5 bolts. 4 T30 bolts and 1 that holds the window sill then it should slide out.

I mean it did help back then, but after doing it myself I think its a waste of time to take out the door handle and window and whatever else he did.

^ respectively, this forum sucks **** for searching anything concrete.

Generic stuff still pulls up oodles and oodles of threads. There's no plug-ins or updates to the search for this version it seems. This is the only forum i visit still running this layout and software.
I have threads [of mine] that i've searched knowing where they were and the board search won't pull them up...
