What radiator u running? Also on another note im about to do my gte swap in a couple months. I have had high hp cars but never a auto trans. Whats u opinion on the trans. Is it street friendly? Thanks and ur car is now my wallpaper lol
Im runnign the Fluidyne Supra radiator

I have the V160 like mentioned above, im assuming thats what you meant. That being said, auto vs manual is so much more complicated than which is better. First off, there is alot of personal preference in that answer. I have had my share of high HP cars, and I have had alot of different trannys in the Lexus alone. Here is my take.

Built stock auto tranny- ok, but has its limits

built TH400- rock solid bullet proof tranny, great for drag racing with high hp set up, sucked on the street for the fun factor (just my opinion, others will disagree)

V160 6 speed- great tranny, tons of fun on the street. Great on the track as well if you have skills. At the power level im at, I can see why people like the built autos for racing.

I personally think the V160 is the best money I spent on this car, changed the whole fun factor for sure. It will never have an auto tranny it it again as long as I own it.

Alot goes into that though, the HP levels, how you drive, what are you using it for mainly, etc, etc. If I was out shoping for a sports car, it would be a manual.

Thanks for the response. I had a evo 8. Made close to 900hp at 42psi. Had a exedy tripple carbon. I loved until my daily driver broke down and had to drive it for 3 months. I bought the gs to replace the daily but the gte swap is too tempting not to do. I always have read that high hp supra guyz like the auto . My gs will never see the drag strip its just a street car. Looking to make around ur power level but cant justify me doing a 5 spd swap to the wife. I guess i need to find a good auto turbo and drive it before i get too deep into this. Wont throw ur thread off anymore. Thank you again for your in depth answer. It really is appreciated.

TT brakes up front and stock gs brakes on the rear last time I saw the car..really they work great shouldn't need any bigger brakes .

Jeff after seeing your GS , it really makes me wanna build mine and be your Twin..!

Yep, exactly right on what Im running for brakes. Its kinda funny you ask, I was just talking about getting some big brakes for it. Honestly, the TT brakes are more than enough, the big brakes would be for looks more than anything else, and im still not sure Im gonna throw the money towards them. The only reason the subject came up was we were at the shop cleaning up the car for a photo shoot and I made the comment that I think I was actually done with the build. We were coming up with things I could do to it still, and brakes was the first thing that came up.

What made you go with a Non VVTI rather then a VVTI?
