Hello, and a question!
Hows it going everyone! Im excited to finally have a 98 Gs300 and Im ready to drop some cash into her! I have owed An LS400 and a 1st gen Aristo while i was stationed overseas and currently own an S13 with a new SR swap that I just completed a few weeks ago. So.....Before I ask my question I'd like to ask to not be flamed please!! Or told to use the infamous, "just search" . Not trying to sound like a jerk because I really am not, but I have been searching for the last week in my spare time. I swear I really have. So enough babble and on to my question. Im ordering a 2JZ-GTE VVT-I out of a 99 front clip from a local importer here in WA. "So stoked"!! I have found a lot of info on how it is a fairly direct swap and how some members have had their engines running the same day. The ONE thing I have not been able to find using the search function is what wiring needs to be ran and how to set up the harness. I have found tid bits on how the tack has to be wired and some wiring needs to be done in order for the shift lock to disengage. But thats pretty much it. If someone would please point me in the correct direction or give me a hint on a better choice of search words I would be grateful. And I might even buy you a beer or two. If you don't drink, I can offer you a coke and a smile! Im 99% positive this is a frequient question but in all honesty I really can not find it. Please forgive me for this really long post but Im really looking forward to having this engine in my GS and can't wait to get her on the road and enjoy the feeling of how a 2JZ should feel!
