Default How many miles to the gallon?

How many miles to the gallon are you guys getting on your gs 430's?? My nav is telling me I am averaging 12 miles to the gallon... I thought that was def low considering google is telling me 16city/21hgwy.... Curious to see what you guys are getting.... And if this is considered on the low end what could I do to squeeze out a couple more mpg.... If it's normal I can deal def deal with it..... Thanks...

you seem to be from around my way ozone park area. with our traffic lights, roads, etc. (90% city 10%hwy) i average roughly 15-16 mpg from using mileage divided by gallons filled. only thing i can imagine my car robbing mileage are the 18 wheels. other than that my gs3 is bone stock.

use the fill/divide method and see if its the same as what your navi is telling you. if you are averaging 12 mpg you have a pretty heavy foot! my friends 430 gets 14-16 depending on how he drives the car.

I have a stock GS300...well i have headers but thats crap...i drive 70% city 30 hwy and i'm lucky if I get 300 to the full tank...im on top of maintenance with the cars....our cars are just horrible on gas in the city...and average on hwy....I've tried it all from driving 40 mph everyday to tiptronic and stay in 5th gears its the same 280-320 miles per tank...

There are many threads like this about mpgs, especially the NY people. From what I read from previous post, it's normal for those that are from NY.

I am not a heavy foot especially now with the drop there are way to many potholes. But mostly all of my driving is stop and go light to light....only aftermarket mod is the borla exhaust... But from what I'm hearing I guess the mpg is prettyy normal or at least close. Just wanted to make sure. I'm guessing when the 20's go on I'm gonna loose a lil more mpg... Thanks for the help... I guess I cost to look good. Lol

Always wonder if the navigation estimate is correct or not. If so i'm getting around 21mpg on my 430, moderately aggressive about 60 highway 40 city.

When I read things like this, it makes me so happy that I got the 300 over the 400/430. Its quick enough for me and it gets better mileage. I avg. around 263-273 around half tank

Why do you guys insist on telling miles per tankful why don't you devide the miles you traveled by the gallons you used? Simple procedure. If you have a nav all you have to do is read the screen. Sorry, just one of my pet peeves. Fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate for comparison purposes. You can even get an ap for your smart phone to track your MPG. On my iPod last four fill ups 21, 18.3, 19.2, 19.2. MPG. All within city driving 20 % at most on the freeway. At least 20 0 to 60 runs at WOT. Most trips less than 5 miles between shutdowns. The nav is very accurate on my car (within 3%)

I'm so happy I didn't get the 300...

Regarding mpg, My nav screen has read 19-21 mpg from full to empty on the last three fill ups
