Default soft break pedal, vsc, abs, brake warning lights

i do have 2002 gs430 119xxx miles (production date 11/01) that have soft breake pedal and its going all way down (breaking used to better, but car still stop)
when i pump break 10-15 times (car was park at that time) i got warning lights vsc, vsc off, abs, break and noisy signal after i stop pumping break warning lights disapear after 2-3 seconds
break fluid reservoir is full
is that break booster going bad?

First, try to flush out the brakes with new fluid. See if pedal becomes hard. If still does it, its time for new bmc.

from my experiences, you're abs unit is out. the part itself is expensive 600-700dollars and labor took about 45 minutes to install.

It's common for 00 and below. His car is 02. That's why I suggested him do the cheap thing first.

You would need a special scanner to read ABS codes.

From experience..bleeding the system once is not gotta do jack. Bleed it at least 3-5 times.

how much brake fluid do i need to bleed it few times?
i also dont think its gona help because there is not air in the system (when i pump it its not geting any harder and its going all the way down)
and why do i have all the warning lights when i pump it 10-15 times?

While you're at it, grab a scanner and get the codes. If yours still stops to some degree, I think the unit is about done.

BMC is 1200 +/- brand new, 400-700 used depending on where you look. I picked up an unit for 200.

out of curiosity, how do you bleed the brakes? specifically, how do you bleed the booster itself or did you find a way to open up the ABS ports on the booster by some other way?

is the lexus quality over rated?
i had 2000 ls400 before and car had few problems
that gs430 i bought few months ago with 115k from a member of cl had problem with ball joints and left side upper control arm (all cost a lot of $ to change with upper control arm very expensive even from sewell)
problem with sunroof shade (that is noisy), moisture in left headlight, slight vibration when car is in gear (probably maf needs to be cleaned) and now that problem with brakes
before i had old (1997) nissan maxima wich was totaled with almost 170,000 miles (had it for few years and only one problem when i had to change rear calipers)
before that 1995 toyota avalon which i bought with 105,000 miles and after few years get bored with that car and sold with 180,000 with no single problem (just had to change battery)
i need a good reason not to sell lexus and not to go back to nissan or toyota
lexus with 119,000 miles shouldnt have so many problem or maybe im wrong

Buy a Mercedes, Audi or BMW with 50k miles and witness their problems. Then report back about Lexus quality....
