Yes a wheel off a rx300 will fit on your gs. Depends what year your car is if the airbag will fit.

the steering wheels look very much alike and so does the area which the bag sits... my gs is 98 and the rx is 01

The airbag cover from a 98-00 GS will fit on a RX wheel but it doesn't line up right and looks goofy. You need to get the air bag cover from the RX wheel too.

This is how it will look with a 98-00 air bag cover.

Is the RX wheel the same as the GS430 wheel?? and are they the same size??

They are exactly the same. Well the wood may be a different shade on each one but thats it.

I believe its the whole RX setup. Steering wheel and airbag straight from the RX.

Just curious what single stage and double stage means. If I were do the complete swap, the airbag would still function normally, correct? I wouldn't even need to keep my 98 GS airbag?

What do u guys need to know? It has already been covered in other threads. Single stage has one connector and dual stage has two. So if u have a 98-00 and get a 01-05 wheel, get a newer air bag.
