Then again, you probably pay a lot more per gallon too.
I thought this too, in my travels, but its the exact same... The numbering system is different in Europe, but the same fuel;

In the United States, pump octane is an average of 2 ratings, research octane (RON) and motor octane (MON). If you look at any gas pump in the United States, you will see a yellow sticker that says "octane by R + M / 2" That is the basic formula for an average. These 2 numbers mean different things. You could make an analogy to that of a blood pressure reading (systolic and diastolic). Research Octane number is always higher than Motor Octane number.

In Europe, they only report the RON. You may hear people discussing that in Europe, the octane is higher. Well, that is not exactly true. You see, in Europe, you might find 96 octane at a local gas station. (wow 96, highest we have here is 94). Well, that 96 is equivalent to 92 here in the States.

Well I drive mostly hwy and I'm really light footed on the gas wherever I go.
I try to almost cruise it as most as I can and plus I drive the needle way down past the E lol.
When I fill up its almost at 19 gallons, when i do its usually between 18.3-18.9

Question, when you fill up (until the pump clicks) does your needle appear to go past the F? Whenever I fill up this happens and that is when I get close to 300 from F til the gas warning light

This is dang near amazing.. Draft much? I've gotten close to 350 once with my 01 GS430 and I thought _that_ was pushing the limit. Being really light on the pedal works wonders but I can't help but think I'm missing something? I'm probably doing it wrong
Do you use snow mode?

That's completely horrible. My old Q45 V8 did better than that. When was the last time you replaced your plugs and have you ran a good PEA fuel injector cleaner in your car? Your injector could be clogged?

Actually, him, getting 420 miles at 19 gallon is actually correct. 420/19 = 22 miles per gallon. Our cars is rated 18 mpg at city and 23-24 mpg at highway. All makes perfect sense. There is no secret.

Looks extremely nice. Definitely a lip spoiler would make it look sharp. Thought of doing a front lip?

Not starting a war buddy, because I understand how a clogged injector will affect your mpg in a negative way. You are correct about it causing you car to run lean...but if you car is running lean, what does that do to the computer to make up for the "lean" running condition? This imbalance of proper fuel flow causes your vehicles computer to attempt to adjust by adding additional fuel into the system lowering your fuel economy. At this point you typically have 02 sensor problems and so on...but I'm guessing you already new this. Just saying.

I run Redline S1 injector cleaner b4 every oil change to keep the deposits off the injectors. It's loaded with PEA.

Nah I would f*** a front lip up.
I'm debating a trunk lip spoiler its either made by or called butterfly systems. Real tight piece.

i always thought this feat was normal? aren't our cars rated for 20MPG Hwy? i consistently get 400+mi to the tank on road trips... and you figure our tanks are 20 gals... so simple math makes it 20MPG...

I just drove my new-to-me 98 GS400 from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Portland, Maine and averaged just over 25mpg for the 2,200 mile trip. Most of the roads were posted 70mph and I kept it between 77-85mph pretty much the whole way up the coast. My previous GS400 managed an average of just over 20mpg in the 5 years that I owned it, with mostly city driving. If you're not getting these kind of numbers you should definitely have someone take a look.
Good luck!
