Default Is it just me or is a Brabus-badged GS...

kinda strange? On the way to work, I saw a GS 3/4 (?) debadged and in place there was a Brabus emblem...It's kinda like putting a Dinan emblem on an Acura...???

Does Brabus tune Lexus' GS?

I always thought that Brabus was an M-B tuner...It's seems kinda sad that a Lexus owner would want to associate an M-B tuner with their Lexus. I thought we bought Lexus to distinguish ourselves from M-B - at least that's why I bought my Lexus.

I don't know...maybe I am nitpicking but that was kinda weird this morning...

Hell, just last weekend, I am parking by the Varsity and there is a dude with Lorinser rims on his pearl white GS. Brabus is a German tuner for Benz's, not ANY Lexus. ANyone here maybe?

If it was, then I would be curious to find out what his/her explanation is? Why debadge your Lexus and put Brabus instead? Ashamed of your Lexus? Why not TRD or L-tuned instead?

Brent,

Actually, the Barbus-tuned GS does exist in So Cal and it's owned by my eye doctor's son. Couple friends of mine also saw it before. It's been awhile, at least 6 months or so.

Probably just rims - that's all that would fit...

Default re-plug

I heard in LA area, there's a shop that can replug any kind of rims and re-drill it to fit your vehicle. This would explain that Lorinser Rims (probably 5*110) to fit ours.

Just like replugging your old Bowling Ball and redrill it to fit your current size....
It must be pretty neat.

Putting Brabus emblems on my Lexus is like putting Mugen emblems on my Nissan.

I would never want to redrill wheels to get them to fit on my car. If they weren't made to fit, they weren't ment to be on the car.

Or how about a NISMO sticker on a Mustang?
