Hey guys, I am from 3GS.

I just got a 2000 gs400 17inch rims, i believe they are 17 x 8.

I know the factory size is 235 45 17, but i am wondering if anyone is running different set up for some reason? What would be the most ideal set up? factory? Some people say 225 50 17.

I would like to hear from 2GS people.

Thanks!

Ditto.

Why would you want to run a different setup? The factory one is perfect.. You can even ride slammed on the OEM setup, so what's the reason you want to run a different one?

I am curious why you want opinions from the 2GS guys. Although the wheels are from a 2GS (and the fitment on both cars are similar), wouldn't you want to know about guys running it on a 3GS. I would think you'd want to make sure if there are fitment, ride issues of these wheels on your model year.

LOL. I am confused some more.

I thought he has a 3GS and just got 17s from a 2000 GS400 to put on his 3GS. After reading your post, maybe he meant he just bought a 2000 GS400 with 17s.

I know factory is perfect size but was just wondering for some reason if anyone's running different set up.

Also I did post on 3GS too and got some feedback, but just wanted to hear from 2gs people. that's all.

Yes I got gs400 17 inch rims for my 3GS for winter set up.

We're all confused.

EDIT: As far as we know, nobody is running a different setup.

I know exactly which rim hes talking about. Its the 2GS star type rim. You should stick to 235/45/17

The most ideal set up would be factory since it keeps the speedo accurate. However, I think there are a few people on this board who were running a slightly bigger tire (235 50-55) so that they could absorb large bumps and pot holes. I know sometimes I wish my sidewalls were thicker when I hit pot holes.
